Using this command, you can create the primitive solid geometries from the regions. Before using this command, you need to create regions. |
How to use
Primitives command

Inert mesh data.
|
|
2. |
Click Insert > Region Group. Click Tools > Region Tools >Auto Segment to create region. Click OK and exit Region Group mode.

Click Insert >
Solid > Primitives or click
|
|

Click

Click
OK. |

Hide mesh data. You can see extracted solid form regions.

Options in Detail

|
· Automatically Extract Shapes – If this option is enabled, based on the region shape, primitive geometries are automatically extracted. |
|
· Extract Specific Shape – If this option is enabled, selected shape
will be extracted from the region. You can select a shape by selecting one
of icon: |
|
· Select Regions – Select the regions to create solid primitive. |
|
· Shapes To Be Extract – You can select the shape to be extracted. Cylinder, Cone, Sphere and Torus are available. |
|
· Expand Ratio – Specify the ratio between the regions and created solid.

· Merge Regions Belong To Single Shape - If this option is enabled, regions belonging to the single shape are merged.

· Use Only Regions Covering Whole Shape – If this option is enabled, if the whole region is fitted to a shape, then only the solid is created.
<Whole Shape of Cylinder> <Partial Shape of Cylinder> |

· Get Partial Shape – If you check this option, you can extract partial shape of solid as selected region.
