Loft creates a feature by making transitions between profiles. |
How to use Loft
command

Options in Detail

|
· Profiles – Determines the profiles used to create a loft. Select sketchEdge, 2D Sketch, 2D Sketch Chain, 3D Sketch, 3D Sketch Chain, Region, Loop, Face to connect. Lofts are created based on the order of profile selection.
1. The open loft solid needs 2 more profiles but the closed loft needs 3 more profiles. 2. The profile should be planar except selecting Face.

· Constraints - Applies a constraint to control tangency to the start and end profiles. The following options are available:
|
|
· Start Constraint – Constraints to start
profiles. a) None: No tangency constraint (zero curvature) is applied.
b) Direction Vector: Applies a tangency constraint based on a selected entity used as a direction vector. Select a Direction Vector, and then set the Draft angle and Start or End Tangent Length. Use Same Tangent Length To All Vertices applies same tangency to all vertices of profile.
c) Normal to Profile: Applies a tangency constraint normal to the start or end profile. Set the Draft angle and Start or End Tangent Length.
d) Tangency to Face: Keep tangency to selected face.
e) Curvature to Face: Keep curvature to selected face.

· End Constraint – Constraints to end profiles. The options are
similar to start
constraint.

· Guide Curves – Guide curves to loft along that curve. Start Constraint options to the guide curve are similar to the profile start constraints. <Without Guide Curve> <With Guide Curve>

· Merge Tangent Faces – If this option is enabled, tangent faces will
be merged.
|
|
· Close Loft – If this option is enabled, Loft will be closed.
|
|
· Result Operator: This option is available when there exists one
more bodies. |
