Region Group command allows you to create or edit region in the region group mode. In the region group mode, you can automatically or manually create region. Several tools provide you to edit region using Add, Remove, Split, Insert, Merge, Enlarge, Shrink and Clean. Those tools do not show dialog tree, it just works by one click but Add, Remove and Split are interactive command so If you click one of those button, it works until you change other commands.

Filtering Criteria

When you apply manual editing tools (Add, Insert, Merge, Enlarge, Shrink and Clean), Filtering Criteria is working. Using this parameter you can filter small clusters of region.

<Small Clusters>

l Min. Num – Smaller than input number of triangles will be filtered, when you apply manual editing tools. This is useful when data include small clusters.

l Min Area – Smaller than input area of triangles will be filtered, when you apply manual editing tools. This is useful when data include small clusters.

l Allow Invasion – If you check this option, you can edit exiting region. For example, you can insert new region on the existing region. If you uncheck this option, you cannot insert region on the existing region because XOR preserves exiting region.
