Options in Detail

|
l Selection If you select entities, XOR show each entitys name.
|
|
l Definition You can create one reference vector with specified position and direction. a) Position & Direction You can create one reference plane with specified position and normal. Position - Specifies the coordinates of the starting point of the to-be-created reference vector. You may directly input the coordinates into the X, Y, Z boxes or you may pick a point and its coordinates will be displayed inside the X, Y, Z boxes automatically. Direction - Specifies the direction of the reference vector.
b) Start & End You can create one reference vector by connecting two specified points.. Start Position and End Position- Specifies the coordinates of the starting point and the ending point of the to-be-created reference vector. You may directly input the coordinates into the X, Y, Z boxes or pick a point and its coordinates will be displayed inside the X, Y, Z boxes automatically.
l Extract You can extract reference vector from
selected entity.
Fitting Type - If Fitted is selected, the reference vector will be created by doing standard best-fit on the vertices. If Min Boundary is selected, among many reference vectors that pass the vertices inside the fitting zone, the one that parallels to the best-fit one and is most distant to it along its negative direction will be the reference vector. If Max Boundary is selected, among many reference vectors that pass the vertices, the one that parallels to the best-fit one and is most distant to it along its positive direction will be the reference vector.
<Fitted> <Min Boundary> <Max Boundary>
Remove Outlier If you select None, no outlier remove option will be used. If you select N*Sigma, you need to input N value into the box on the right. The fitting will be done by excluding fitting data whose error is bigger than N times of the standard deviation. If you select Ratio, you need to input a ratio value into the box on the right. The fitting begins with sorting the fitting data according to the error. Then only the data fall into the ratio will be used in the fitting. If you select Absolute Distance, you need to input a distance value into the box on the right. The fitting will be done by excluding the fitting data outside of this distance. If you select Sampling Ratio, the fitting will be done using fitting data sampled according to the specified value.
Use Only Effective Data - Effective data means sampled data and outlier removed data. If checked, only the effective data will be used in the fitting.
Project On Plane - Creates reference vector by projecting to a selected reference vector along the vector's normal direction.
l Find Slot Axis You can find a slot axis form selected area
of a mesh model.
l Find Cylinder Axis You can find a cylinder axis from selected
area of a mesh model.
Fix Radius - You can fix radius of cylinder. This can be reference to find cylinder axis. Circularity You can select solid edge, circle or arc. User Defined - You can specify radius of cylinder. Initial Axis - If you check this option, XOR search the most suitable normal of selected item. Fix Axis - It is used to set the axis of reference vector using Vector or User Defined direction.
l Find Cone Axis You can find a cylinder axis from selected
area of a mesh model.
l Projection You can project reference vector onto
selected entity.
l Pick Multiple Point - You can create reference vector by picking
multiple points.
l Pick Point & Line You can create reference vector by picking a
point and selecting a line.
l Intersect 2 Planes You can create one reference vector from the
intersection of two selected entities.
l Average You can create one reference vector by
averaging several selected entities.
l Cross 2 Lines You can create one reference vector by
selecting 2 crossing lines.
l Revolving Axis You can find revolving axis from selected
area of mesh.
l Extrusion Axis You can find extrusion axis from selected
area of a mesh model.
l Pattern Revolving Axis You
can find a revolving axis made by pattern. You need to select two more
regions.
l Pattern Translation Axis You can find a translation axis made by
pattern. You need to select two more regions.
