Dialog Tree

When a command whose name includes “…” is selected, a corresponding dialog tree appears in the viewing window. According to the prerequisite conditions, some controls are enabled or disabled.

 

 

 

The  (Preview) button enables you to preview the result before you apply the command to a model. If it is clicked, the  (Preview) button is changed to the  (Break) button so that you can stop it. After the operation is finished, the  (OK) button and  (Restore) button are enabled. When you directly pressed the  (OK) button on some commands like Global Register, it is automatically changed to the  (Break) button so that you can stop the command during it is being performed. Also you can use an ESC key to stop the execution. While the command is being performed, the dialog tree is disabled and you can not modify any options or parameters.

() button is used to expand or collapse the dialog tree. tild(`) key can be used to expand or collapse the dialog tree. F12 key hides Project Tree, Properties window etc. It hides all the windows in the view and show only model view. Click F12 again to view all the windows. If  button is enabled, when the user moves the mouse away from the dialog tree, it is automatically collapsed. When the mouse pointer is near the dialog tree it is expanded. This behavior is useful as you get a big view of the model when ever necessary. If the button is disabled, the dialog tree is always expanded irrespective of the mouse position.

 

The icon  or  allows you to fold or unfold the dialog tree or some control parameters.  Click the icon  in front of More Options to use much more options.

 

Click  (Reset) button to deselect all entities. If entities were already selected, they are automatically listed in the selection list. To remove entities from the selection list, select them again while holding the Ctrl key. To deselect the last selected entity only, click  (Undo).

 

Click  (Next Stage) to go to the next phase of dialog tree action. Click  (Previous Stage) to go to the previous phase again.


 

Click  (Flip Direction) to flip the direction of the selection. Click  (Measure Distance) to measure the distance and input in the result value in edit control. Click  (Measure Radius) to measure the radius and input the result value in edit control. Measure Distance and Measure Radius commands are same as Measure > Distance and Measure > Radius.

 

Click  (Calculate With Mesh Data) to calculate the values automatically from the mesh data rather than inputting the value manually.

 

Click  (Add) to add the instance of controls. Click  (Remove) to remove the instance of controls.

 

Click  (All) to select all entities.

 

The Edit Control box for a floating-point number allows you to input a numerical value or a numerical formula. The available symbols and functions are as follows:
-. A numerical formula starts with “=”.
-. plus(+), minus(-), multiplication(*), division(/), power(^), factorial(!), square root(sqrt), absolute value(fabs), trigonometrical function(sin, cos, tan, sec, cosec, cot, sinh, cosh, tanh, asin, acos, atan), exponential(exp), logarithmic(log, ln)
-. No distinction between capital letter and small letter
-. Spacing is ignored
