After you create and apply maps to a material, you can adjust the scaling and tiling settings. A panel for Material Scaling and Tiling, and Material Offset and Preview has been added to the Material window to make changes to these settings.
In addition, you can specify a scaling factor and synchronize the settings to be shared across all maps, or you can specify the settings at the procedural map level.
Materials can be adjusted to fit the shape of the object. Applying the appropriate settings to an object improves the fit for that object. The change will appear in the material preview swatch.
