Create point-to-point single wires

 

Create parametric connectors

Let's create a point-to-point wiring diagram consisting of several inter-wired connectors. The connectors are created parametrically, on-the-fly, in the active drawing using a small set of simple library symbols.

1. Begin a new drawing based on the template ACAD_ELECTRICAL.dwt.
2. From ACE: Insert Connector toolbar, click the Insert Connector tool.
3. Set the following parameters for each connector in the Insert Connector dialog box. Expand the detail list to set pins show at both sides of the plug and receptacle.
4. Place the connectors one at a time as illustrated. When placing the connectors, you can flip the connector using the Tab key. To toggle the orientation of the connector between horizontal and vertical, use the V key.

Press F5 to replay the animation, as needed.
