Introduction to point-to-point wiring diagram

Create point-to-point single wires

Create parametric connectors
Let's create a point-to-point wiring diagram
consisting of several inter-wired connectors. The connectors are
created parametrically, on-the-fly, in the active drawing using
a small set of simple library symbols.
- Begin
a new drawing based on the template ACAD_ELECTRICAL.dwt.
From ACE: Insert Connector
toolbar, click the Insert Connector tool.- Set
the following parameters for each connector in the Insert Connector
dialog box. Expand the detail list to set pins show at both sides
of the plug and receptacle.
- Place
the connectors one at a time as illustrated. When placing the connectors,
you can flip the connector using the Tab key. To toggle the orientation
of the connector between horizontal and vertical, use the V key.
Press F5 to replay the animation,
as needed.
