To have AutoCAD Electrical search for I/O addresses for component tags and wire numbers connected to the PLC I/O module's I/O point:

1. Click the Drawing Properties tool.
2. In the Drawing Properties dialog box, select Search for PLC I/O address on insert for both the Components and Wire Numbers tab.
