Create Reports

You can export a report of the reference data from all the columns (displayed or not) in one of three formats:

• Extensible markup language (.xml)

• Comma-separated values (.csv)

• Microsoft Excel Workbook (.xls)

Record Changes to a Log File

A log file is maintained that automatically records every change to saved reference paths made with Reference Manager, even across several sessions. When a change in a saved reference path is applied, the change is appended to the log file, log.txt. By default, the log file is located in your My Documents folder.

The log file can be turned off in the Reference Manager Options dialog box.

Procedures

To export a Reference Manager report

1. Click File menu Export Report.
2. In the Export Report dialog box, under File Name, enter the name of the report. Under Files of Type, select the file format of the report.
3. Click Save. By default, the report is saved to the file log.txt in your My Documents folder.

To turn the log file on or off

1. Click View menu Options.
2. In the Options dialog box, select or clear Write to Log File.
3. Click OK.
