Operation of the Reference List

The Reference list in the right pane of Reference Manager provides a list of references in the item currently selected in the tree view. You can control the display of the columns in the Reference list.

When you select an item in the tree view, references associated with that item display in the Reference list. You can then select references from the Reference list to change their saved reference paths.

Data from each reference is displayed in columns in the Reference list. You can right-click a column heading to sort the items in that column or control whether the column is displayed. You can also drag columns left or right to change their order.

Complete control of the Reference list is available in the Reference Manager Options dialog box.

Procedures

To sort a Reference list column

• Click a column heading to sort all references by that column. Click the column heading a second time to reverse the sort order.

To hide a Reference list column

• Right-click a column heading. Click Hide Column.

To display a hidden Reference list column

1. Click View menu Options.
2. In the Options dialog box, under Columns to Display, click the column name to be displayed.
3. Click OK.

To change the location of a Reference list column

• Drag the column heading left or right to a new location.
