Create a Solid or Surface by Lofting

To create a solid or surface by lofting through a set of cross sections

1. Click Draw menu Modeling Loft.At the Command prompt, enter loft.
2. Select cross sections in the order in which you want the solid or surface to pass through the cross sections.
3. Press ENTER.
4. Do one of the following:
   • Press ENTER or enter c to use cross sections only.

     The Loft Settings dialog box is displayed. Use the options in the dialog box to control the shape of the solid or surface. Change the desired settings, and click Preview to see a preview of the surface or solid.

     Click OK when finished.

   • Enter g to select guide curves. Select the guide curves, and then press ENTER.
   • Enter p to select a path. Select a path, and then press ENTER.

   After the loft, the original objects may be deleted or retained, depending on the setting of the DELOBJ system variable.
