System Paths

This dialog is especially useful if you are programming your own scripts for Autodesk VIZ. When you start Autodesk VIZ, these folders will be checked and the corresponding file will be run:

File Type Function
Additional Icons Path for additional icons
  Path for additional macros
Additional Scripts Path for additional scripts
Additional Startup Scripts Path for additional startup scripts
MaxData Path for data files related to Autodesk VIZ
Temp Path for temporary files

Procedure

To modify a path:

  1. Click a path entry to highlight it.

  2. Click Modify.

  3. Use the Choose Directory dialog to do one of the following:

    • Enter a path in the Path field.

    • Navigate to locate a path.

  4. Click Use Path.

    The new path takes effect immediately.
