The intuitive Meshing module interface facilitates your use of all meshing controls and settings.

The functional elements of the interface include the following.

Window Component1Description
Main MenuThis menu includes the basic menus such as File and Edit.
Standard ToolbarThis toolbar contains commonly used application commands such as Save.
Graphics ToolbarThis toolbar contains commands that control pointer mode or cause an action in the graphics browser.
Context ToolbarThis toolbar contains task-specific commands that change depending on where you are in the object Tree Outline.
Named Selection ToolbarThis toolbar contains options to manage named selections similar to how they are managed in Simulation.
Tree OutlineOutline view of the project. Always visible. Location in the outline sets the context for other controls. Provides access to object's context menus. Establishes what details display in the object Details View.
Details ViewThe Details View corresponds to the Outline selection. Displays a details window on the lower left panel which contains details about each object in the Tree Outline.
Geometry

Displays and manipulates the visual representation of the object selected in the Outline. This window displays:

  • 3D Geometry

  • 2D/3D Graph

  • Spreadsheet

  • HTML Pages

The Geometry window may include splitter bars for dividing views.

Reference HelpOpens an objects reference help page for the highlighted object. These are the same pages that are available in Simulation.
Tabs
  • Geometry - Displays the Geometry window (described above).

  • Worksheet - Displays tabular, graphic, or text data (if available) that is related to the selected tree object.

  • Print Preview - Displays a view that is suitable for presentation that includes an editable title block.

Status BarBrief in-context tip. Selection feedback.

1 - The linked topics include descriptions for items in the Simulation interface. All items described may not be available in the Meshing interface.
