Enables translation and rotation of the working plane. [WPOFFS, WPROTA, and WPSTYL]
Picking these buttons causes an immediate offset of your working plane in the direction shown on the button. The positive X, Y, and Z working plane axes correspond to the working plane triad (see the WP Settings dialog box to control the display of the triad symbol). The amount of offset is controlled by the Offset Slider shown below, and the Snap Incr value on the WP Settings dialog box.
Controls the amount of offset that occurs with each pick of the Offset Buttons. If the slider is set to 1, the offset will be one times the Snap Incr value on the WP Settings dialog box.
Allows you to input the exact X, Y, Z offsets for the working plane. For instance, typing in 1,1,1 into this dialog box and hitting Apply or OK moves the working plane one unit in each of the positive X, Y, and Z directions.
Rotates the working plane about the axis show in the button, in the direction indicated. For instance, the upper right button rotates the working plane about the X-axis of the current working plane in a negative direction. The angle of rotation is controlled by the Rotate Slider.
Controls the amount of rotation that will occur with each pick of the Rotate Buttons.
Allows you to specify the exact rotation angles for the working plane. These angles are measured in degrees, and the positive direction of rotation about each axis follows the right hand rule.
Displays the current location of the working plane in global Cartesian coordinates. This status is updated each time the working plane is translated.
Pressing this button activates dynamic mode, in which you use the mouse buttons to move the working plane. The left mouse button translates the working plane in the screen X and Y directions. The middle mouse button rotates the working plane about its Z axis (moving the mouse left and right) and in and out of the screen Z (viewing) direction (moving the mouse up and down). The right mouse button rotates the working plane about its Y axis (moving the mouse left and right) and about its X axis (moving the mouse up and down). In all cases, the amount of movement is controlled by the Snap Incr setting on the WP Settings dialog box.
