To create an entity set:

  1. Select the entity sets panel on the Analysis page.

or

Select Entity Sets from the Setup pull-down menu.

  1. Enter a set collector name after name =.

  2. Choose the card image for the set (SET or PSET).

  3. Click the set type: switch and select non-ordered or ordered.

To define the set through explicit selection of the constituents:

-      Click on the entity: switch and choose the entity to be selected.

-      Identify the entities you want to include in the set by picking them in the graphics window, choosing them from the extended entity selection menu, or (in the case of components, properties, and sets) selecting them from the list of entities.

-      Click create.

Alternatively, for non-ordered node and element sets, it is possible to define a set as a combination of formulaic expressions:

-      Check the formula box.

-      Click on the entity: switch on the left-side of the panel and choose the entity to be selected.

-      Click create to create the set.

 The set must be created before expression can be added to it.

-      Click on the switch in the top-center of the panel and choose the expression type.

For add by ids:

-     Select the entities from the graphics area or by using the extended entity selection menu.

-     Click add to add this expression to the set definition.

For add by range with except:

-      Enter the ID for the beginning of the range in the from: field.

-      Enter the ID for the end of the range in the to: field.

-      Using the except: entity selector, select entities from the graphics area, or through the extended entity selection menu, to be excluded from the range.

-      Click add to add this expression to the set definition.

For add by range:

-       Enter the ID for the beginning of the range in the from: field.

-       Enter the ID for the end of the range in the to: field.

-       Click add to add this expression to the set definition.

The set is a combination of all the expressions added to it.
