NLPARM - Data Selection

Description

The NLPARM command can be used in the Subcase Information section to activate nonlinear solution methods for this subcase and to select the parameters used for nonlinear static analysis.

SID: Set identification of an NLPARM bulk data entry.

Comments

  1. NLPARM bulk data entries will not be used unless selected in the Subcase Information section.

  2. The NLPARM subcase information command is only recognized when it appears within a subcase.

  3. The NLPARM command is supported in static analysis and optimization subcases.

  4. Each nonlinear subcase activates a separate nonlinear solution process that starts from the original undeformed configuration. Therefore, the sequence of these subcases has no effect on the convergence of the nonlinear iterative process, or on the results.
