To define a constraint:

1. Select the optimization panel on the Analysis page and select the dconstraints panel.

or

Select Dconstraints from the Optimization pull-down menu.

2. Click constraint = and enter a name.

3. Click response = and select a pre-defined response.

4. Activate and enter the bounds lowerbound= and/or upperbound= as needed.

If the selected response requires a loadstep (subcase), a loadstep selector will appear in the panel on selecting the response.

5. Click on loadsteps (if it exists) and select the appropriate loadstep.

6. Click create.
