Compare Geometry - Volume Comparison

The Compare Geometry utility also compares the volume of two parts. The volume comparison results appear in a tree so you can easily see the different and common volumes of the parts. This is helpful when you compare an original part to a revised version of the part.

  1. In the Compare Geometry: Results dialog box, expand Volume Comparison and click Difference Volumes.

The volume differences are highlighted in the Volume Comparison of Bracket_A.sldprt and Bracket_B.sldprt window. In this example, the material removed is blue, and the material added is brown.

  1. Under Volume Comparison, click Common Volumes.

The common volumes are highlighted in the Volume Comparison of Bracket_A.sldprt and Bracket_B.sldprt window. In this example, the common volumes are teal.
