If you are a meeting host and using Schedule Meeting, there is an alternative to specifying an ILS server or the Microsoft Internet Directory as the Location in the Place A Call dialog box. However, it is less efficient.
The alternative is to host the meeting using the current IP address of your PC. This is not recommended if you dial up to an ISP using a modem since the IP address is typically dynamic, changing each time you dial into their ISP.
The Location of an ILS server or the Microsoft Internet Directory lists your username and email address in the directory. This unique combination is tied in to your current IP address, allowing other meeting members to communicate with your PC.
