Using the Tools
Included in STAR-CCM+ are tools that let you manipulate derived parts visually:
- The point tool can be used to position a point derived part, and can be used to select one or more points for streamline particle seeds.
- The line tool can be used to position streamline particle seeds, a line-probe, or plane probe in two dimensions.
- The sphere tool can be used to position a sphere.
If a part becomes highlighted while you are using a tool, you can hold down the <Ctrl> key and click anywhere in the display to deactivate the highlighting.
