Gradient Computation

The gradient computation process in STAR-CCM+ involves three steps:

  1. Computing the (unlimited) reconstruction gradients. Once limited, these are used to evaluate the cell gradients to reconstruct face values for the flux computations.
  2. Limiting the reconstruction gradients.
  3. Computing the cell gradients from the limited reconstruction gradients.
