Selecting Radiation
To select the Radiation model:
- In the Physics Model Selection dialog, select a space model (Axisymmetric, Three Dimensional or Two Dimensional) from the Space group. The Radiation radio button will now become available.
- Select the Radiation model in the Optional Physics Models group.
Following its selection, the Physics Model Selection dialog will look as shown below.
Note It is currently necessary to define interfaces and initialize the solution before switching on radiation models using the view factors calculator. Therefore at present, the following problem setup sequence should be adhered to when the view factors calculator is to be enabled.
- Import .ccm file
- Define any mesh topology changes e.g. interface definition
- Enable physics models except radiation
- Initialize solution
- Enable radiation models including the view factors calculator
- Setup the rest of the model as usual
- Generate radiation patches
- Calculate view factors
- Initialize solution
Step 4 above is purely carried out for proper interface setup prior to radiation patch generation and view factors calculation. It does not allow visualisation of initial solution after completion of model setup hence the need for the second initialization (Step 9).
