What Is the K-Epsilon Turbulent Viscosity Solver?

This solver controls the update of the turbulent viscosity.

Let be the value of the previous iteration, and be the value computed during the current iteration. The update is controlled as follows:

Properties

Maximum Ratio

The maximum ratio of turbulent to laminar viscosity () permitted during the update process. This is used to prevent unphysically high values of turbulent viscosity from occurring on the path to convergence.

Under-Relaxation Factor

An under-relaxation factor for the update of turbulent viscosity. The default value is 1.0.
