Boundary Conditions

A target mass flow option has been added to pressure outlet boundaries.

The ambient temperature used for convection thermal conditions has been upgraded from a constant to a profile.

VOF

Now supports heat transfer

Turbulence

The k-epsilon and k-omega models now enforce realizability according to the formulation of Durbin. This promotes higher accuracy near stagnation/impingement regions.

DES/LES

The Spalart-Allmaras detached eddy model for DES has been added.

An optional hybrid central/upwind convection scheme is available for velocity for DES.

The Smagorinsky model is used for LES.

An optional central upwind convection scheme for velocity for LES is available.

These models can only be used with the segregated flow model.

This is a first release of these models and they have not been fully validated.

Combustion

Partially premixed coherent Flame Model (CFM) has been added.

The reaction nodes in the simulation tree have been restructured.

New temperature ignitors have been added.

Integrated viewfactor calculator (also runs in parallel) similar to the FASTRAC method in STAR-CD using a voxel mesh.

Extension of the surface to surface radiation capabilities - thermal as well as solar radiation, transparent or semi transparent external walls.

This is the first release of the solar radiation feature and it does not currently support interfaces or baffles.
