The working plane grid appears if the Grid On option is turned on. Your cursor snaps to grid points if the Snap to Grid option is turned on.

Modification of Grid
This command sets the grid size and type.. The available grid types are Cartesian and Cylindrical. The grid size for the Cartesian grid can be set in the local X and Y directions. The grid size for the cylindrical type is controlled by the radius and angle.
