Importing a session file and creating a study
To Open a New File:
1.
Open a session of SimOffice by double-clicking its icon on the Windows desktop.

Click the SimOffice Button and select the New File command which appears as a blank sheet of paper.
The Create New Model window appears.
3.
Enter the file name, “Satellite_Dish”.
4.
Set the Unit System to SI.

Click New.
Import a Session File:
1.
The Import File window appears.
2.
Change the file type to “SimOffice Session files (*.ses*)” and select dish.ses.

Click Open.

Click Yes to confirm delete original curves.
5.
You will need to click Yes, several times.
Once the model is imported, a summary is presented.

Create the Shell Properties:

On the Home tab, in the Picking Methods group, change the Geometry Filter to Surface.

Right click and select Create Properties.
4.
Under the Shell Properties tab, enter alum_sheet for the property name.
5.
Select Pure_Aluminum as the material.
6.
Set the thickness to .002 m (2 mm).

The create mesh form appears.

Click Ok on the warning message. This is just informing that the tolerancing is being changed..
