ACCGRAV

 

The ACCGRAV statement specifies the magnitude and direction of the acceleration of gravity. In conjunction with the part masses, the gravitational field defines a body force at the center of gravity in each part.

Format

Arguments

IGRAV	Defines the x component of gravitational acceleration with respect to the ground coordinate system. Default: 0
JGRAV	Defines the y component of gravitational acceleration with respect to the ground coordinate system. Default: 0
KGRAV	Defines the z component of gravitational acceleration with respect to the ground coordinate system. Default: 0

Examples

ACCGRAV/JGRAV=-386.088

This ACCGRAV statement defines the gravitational constant of 386.088, acting along the y-axis of the ground coordinate system (GCS) in the negative direction.
