Select >> Region Segmentation >> Freeform Surface

• Select >> Region Segmentation >> Freeform Surface command selects faces that compose of a free form region. 

Step   

Execute Select >> Region Segmentation >> Freeform Surface  command as follows:

1. Select Select >> Region Segmentation >> Freeform Surface  from the menu or click the corresponding icon on the Select toolbar.

2. Select a seed face from which a free surface region will be grown.

If the right mouse button is clicked, a shortcut menu appears:

If Pause is clicked, the current command is temporarily stopped. If Undo is clicked, the last selection is cancelled. If Redo is clicked, the last cancelled selection is done again.

3. Click Done on the RMB menu to finish this command.

• This method is good to select region that has clear boundary. It is highly recommended to be used for a model without noise.
