• Select >> Mark >> Edges command marks the edges of a polygon model by connecting selected vertices via the shortest path. These marked edges can then be preserved (not modified) throughout the polygon editing functions such as smooth, subdivide, remesh and so on.

Execute Select >> Mark >> Edges command as follows:

1. Select Select >> Mark >> Edges from the menu or click the icon from the Select toolbar.

2. Pick the points on a polygon along the edges you want to mark.
