Curve >> Tool >> Offset >> Search Rounded Region
Curve >> Tool >> Offset >> Search Rounded Region command automatically creates the boundary curves of a rounding region by offsetting a curve which resides in the rounding region.
If a user wants to create a surface in a rounding region, Curve >> Tool >> Offset >> Search Rounded Region command automatically finds the boundary curve of the rounding region.
Step
- Execute Curve >> Tool >> Offset >> Search Rounded Region command as follows:
- 1. Select Curve >> Tool >> Offset >> Search Rounded Region from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the Curve toolbar.
- 2. Left-click to select a curve to offset it.
- 3. The system shows a preview of the offset curve to be created and pops up the following dialog box.
- Width weight in Options is a kind of weight factor for determining the offset distance.
- Number of control points in Options is the number of control point of new curves.
- Select Smoothing to create smooth curves.
- Select Monotonic to ignore the complexity of the polygon on which new curves are located.
- Both, Curve1, Curve2 in Apply to field are options for determining the curve to apply the above-mentioned options.
- Click Preview to check the shape of curve to be created.
- 4. Press OK to complete this operation.
Result
