Introduction
How to Learn the System
Congratulations on your purchase of the most productive programming system available! The most effective way to learn the system is to look through the Getting Started Guide to become familiar with the system and how it works. After going through Getting Started you should complete the exercises in the Geometry Creation manual followed by the tutorials contained in this manual.
This manual is intended for users of a basic 3-Axis Mill; however, the lessons learned also apply to more advanced 4- and 5-Axis Mill parts. The information covered is related specifically to milling machines; however, most of the interface concepts are similar to other types of machining. After learning the concepts of geometry creation (see the Geometry Creation manual), this document provides information on part set-up, tools, toolpath generation, posting and communications with a CNC mill.
