Blank Die Cost:
The Nesting 1 - Blank Die Cost dialog box allows you to set the Total Production Volume and the Blank Die Cost or Total Die Cost parameters. All values are set to 0 by default. The parameters in this dialog box are used to calculate Blank Die Cost and Total Blank Cost in for the nesting layout.
Total Production Volume is the annual number of blanks that will be produced.
Blank Die Cost* represents the cost of the die based on the perimeter of the blank shape. Blank Cost, Blank Die Cost and Total Blank Cost are listed in the Nesting Result Table.
Blank Die Cost = Blank Die Cost per blank perimeter * Blank Perimeter / Production Volume or
Blank Die Cost = Die Cost / Production Volume
Blank Perimeter = Blank Perimeter (for 1 Up nest layouts)
= Blank perimeter * 2 (for 2 Up and Mirror nest layouts)
= Blank One Perimeter + Blank Two Perimeter (for 2 unique blank shape nest layouts)
Blank Perimeter is calculated for the outer boundary without including holes.
Total Blank Cost = Blank Cost + Blank Die Cost
For Cut Off Dies, the Blank Die Cost = 0, so the Total Blank Cost = Blank Cost.
Total Die Cost* represents the overall value of the die expressed in the current currency.
* Blank Die Cost or Total Die Cost
parameters can be entered for nesting layouts ( 1 Up, 2 Up, Mirror, 2 Blanks). If the Production Volume, Blank Die Cost per blank perimeter or Die Cost are undefined -- Blank Die Cost is set to 0.0.
