Replace Current 2D Texture Using Copy/Paste

While clicking on a blank square in the Pictures Editor adds a new texture, a texture already in the editor can also be replaced by either loading a new texture or by copying an image from a paint editor and pasting into the editor.

To load a new 2D texture as a component, by copying from a paint program and pasting into the editor:

  1. Load or make an image in your favorite paint program (i.e., Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop, Painter, Dogwaffle, etc.).
  2. Copy the image to place it in the clipboard.
  3. In Bryce, open the Pictures Editor, click on the square containing the image you want to replace.

  4. Click on Paste below the image window.

  5. A popup will come up asking if you are sure you want to delete the image. Click on Delete.

  6. The image will be loaded into the window you selected. Notice that the image was replaced in the square below.

  7. Click on the OK icon to exit the editor or load an image in the alpha channel if needed.

Caution: Once you click on Delete and load the image, you cannot get the original image back by clicking on the Close icon and canceling the operation. So be sure this is what you intend to do before you confirm the deletion.
