Glow Intensity

Glow Intensity controls the intensity of the halo or glow around the outside the sun/moon disk, not the interior portion of the disk. A higher value will bleed more of the glow color into the sky dome color. This has the effect of changing the dome color as it nears the location of the sun/moon disk. A typical example of a high setting here is an average Earth sunset, the sky can fade from a yellowish near the sun to a deep blue/purple away from the sun. Another example, think about looking at headlights of an automobile at night under different haze situations. If the night air has a lot of moisture or haze there will be a glow around the actual lights because the moisture scatters some of the light in random directions, this equates to a high Glow Intensity. On a clear night, there will be limited glow, because of the lack of scattering, making the edges of the lights more defined which equates to a low Glow Intensity. At low settings, the sun/moon disk must be visible in the scene to see this effect, at higher settings, the Glow Intensity can affect the sky even when the sun/moon disks are not directly visible in the scene.
