Material Quick-Select

You can also select presets in one motion by left-clicking then holding on the Materials Presets icon, then dragging directly to the desired material preset and releasing the mouse button. You can also drag over the category names to change categories into the category's presets and then release the mouse button.

To Quick-Select a material:

1. Select an object in the scene.
2. Left-click-hold on the Material Presets triangle. The Materials Library will come up.
   
   
3. Without letting up on the mouse, drag the cursor over the categories until the one you want is displayed.
   
   
4. Still holding down on the mouse, drag the cursor over the preset thumbnails, then let up on the mouse when the material you want to apply is selected.
   
   
5. The material will be applied to the object.
   
   

Please note that you cannot change between main categories using this method.
