Moon Texture
Previous versions of Bryce provided a default Moon texture that was applied by enabling the Texture option under Moon Phase. Bryce 6 includes this option but introduces the ability to add your own texture to the moon. This new feature means you could add a face to the moon or a texture that looks like a distant planet.
To add a texture to the moon:
- Display the Sky & Fog palette by clicking the Sky & Fog button at the top of the Bryce window.

- Click the Sky Lab button. The Sky Lab appears.

- Click the Sun & Moon tab.

- Under Moon Phase, enable the Texture option then click on the Edit button.

- The Picture Editor will come up. Click on the first empty square.

- The Open file dialog will come up. Locate the texture you want to load and click on Open.

- The image will be loaded in the Picture Editor.

- Click the OK icon to exit the dialog.
- In the Sky Lab, make sure that the Sun/Moon Size is enabled and set a Disk Size.

- Click the OK icon to exit the dialog.
- In the Bryce Working Window, adjust the moon's location until it is visible in the scene, then render.
