Replicate

The Replicate command not only duplicates the selected object(s) or group of objects, but also the last 3D transformations made on the objects. For example, if you move an object up and rotate it, then Replicate will create a copy, then move it up, and rotate it the same amount. Each time you replicate, it moves and rotates the new object the same amount.

Replicate only duplicates the object one time. To replicate the object more than once, use Multi-Replicate instead.

To Replicate an object:

  1. Select an object or group.
  2. Perform any required 3D transformations on the selection.
  3. Choose Edit > Replicate from the menu or press Opt/Alt+D.
