Reconnecting
documents where their connection has been broken.
Exchanging
documents within the Client / Server relationship.
Reconnecting Documents Example
In this Reconnect Document example, the following dialog is displayed:

This dialog mentions that there are 3 disconnected documents and displays the following information:
A
problematic assembly client document (Assembly
cut 3.elt), shown with the icon
.
A
problematic part server document, shown with the icon
.
The
disconnected server documents; an assembly document
and
a part document
.
Click the + sign of the problematic server document to display the
disconnected server document (in this case a catalog
).

Select one of the following options:
Detach All Disconnected Catalogs
Reconnect a disconnected document.
Press Reconnect.
The Cimatron E Explorer is displayed:

Select the appropriate document. The Reconnect Document dialog is re-displayed.
In this example, the assembly document Assembly_test.elt displays additional disconnected documents.

Reconnect the first disconnected document under the assembly (in this case a catalog).
In the Reconnect Document dialog, the reconnected documents are shown with the appropriate check mark:

Note that the next disconnected document is automatically highlighted for treatment.

Reapply a connection.
Press Reapply.
The Reapply paths are searched to find the disconnected document and
reapply the connection.
These Reapply paths are displayed at the bottom left of the dialog
after a Reconnect operation.
Reconnected documents are shown with the
check mark
.

Detach a disconnected document from the client.
Press Detach.
The disconnected document is detached and is shown with the icon:

Detach All Disconnected Catalogs
Detach all the disconnected catalogs from the client.
Press Detach
All Disconnected Catalogs.
All the disconnected catalogs are detached and are shown with the icon:

In this Reconnect Document example, the following dialog is displayed:

Besides the 3 disconnected documents which were shown in the example above, the component Pin1 in folder one, needs to be exchanged with a component of the same name in folder two.
Press Reconnect.
The Cimatron E Explorer is displayed:

Select the appropriate document from folder two. The Reconnect Document dialog is re-displayed.

Note that Pin1
now has a reconnected icon
, a reconnected status and its
path is now from folder two.
