Simulators and Verifier

Access: Select one of the following methods to access the Verifier and Simulators:

Select NC Process / Simulator and Verifier from the main menu.
Press the button from the NC Guide.
Press the icon on the NC vertical toolbar.

A dialog appears, the top part of which has the following appearance:

In the left window are listed all toolpaths and procedures currently defined in the Process Manager. The items that you want to simulate or verify must be moved from the left window to the right. This can be done by dragging or double-clicking, or by pressing the arrow icons. (Single arrows move the selected items, double arrows move all items.)

Use the Shift or Ctrl key for multiple selection.

Select the Verifier, Simulator or Machine Simulator by pressing the relevant radio button.

Simulators and Verifier

The Verifier, Simulator and Machine Simulator are tools that enable you to check your NC toolpaths and procedures before implementing them on the shop floor.

Verifier: Provides a representation of the quality of milling results, according to the specified tolerances. Verification is performed by comparing the stock to the desired end-result part.

Simulator: Provides a simulation of the cutter and the machining process, by calculating cutter motions upon the stock.

Machine Simulator: Provides a simulation of the whole machining environment, the cutter, holder, stock, machining table and CNC machine.

Note: The Simulator requires a stock for operation, and the Verifier needs both stock and part. You can create a Stock and / or Part procedure in the toolpath, or you can specify external stock / part files.
