NC Toolbar Icons

There are two NC toolbars; one horizontal and the vertical (on the far left of your Cimatron E window).

 

Horizontal Toolbar

The horizontal toolbar contains the following icons:

Switch to CAM (NC) Mode. This is only displayed when you are in the CAD environment, after having switched there from the CAM environment.

Switch to CAD Mode so that you can add part geometry.

Update Criteria

Choose or create a UCS.

Switch to Wizard Mode.

Switch to Advanced Mode.

Show / hide the Process Manager.

When working with Parameter Tables, click this to display the NC Assistant; this shows a picture of the parameter.

Show the information bar.

Display Sets information in the NC environment.

Display M-View information in the NC environment.

Collapse All information in the Process Manager.

Expand All information in the Process Manager.

Motions Editor. Manually edit the cutter motions for a procedure.

Options for displaying cutter motions.

 

Vertical Toolbar

The vertical toolbar contains the following icons:

Load Model: Load a part file into the NC application.

Define cutters to be used in your work. Cutters can also be defined within a specific procedure, using the icon on the Procedure Guide.

Create Toolpath: A toolpath is a sequence of one or more machining procedures, performed in a given set of milling axes.

Create Part: Part is a procedure used to represent the end-product part. Part is used by the Verifier.

Create Stock: Stock is a procedure used to represent the raw material from which the final part will be produced. Stock is used by the Simulator and Verifier, and also allows you to view remaining stock for any defined procedure.

Create a procedure within the active Toolpath.

Delete a procedure / toolpath.

Execute the toolpath or procedure(s).

Refresh the toolpath display.

Toggle Motions Display. Show previously hidden cutter motions, and vice-versa.

Simulation - Remaining Stock. View the remaining stock of a successfully executed procedure.

Simulation - Wireframe. Run a wireframe simulation of cutter motions.

Simulation - Advanced. Run the Verifier, Simulator or Machine Simulator for executed procedures.

Post Process the toolpath or procedure(s).

NC Setup. Define the machine coordinate system.
