Surface Milling - Legacy Procedures / Stock Spiral - 3D

Hints and tips for rough surface pocketing procedures

How to create this procedure: (see Creating a Procedure and Procedure Guide for general explanation.)

1. For Technology, choose Surface Milling as the main selection, and Legacy Procedures / Stock Spiral - 3D as the subselection.

2. Choose the appropriate cutter.

3. Define the part and stock contours, part surfaces, and part2 surfaces / check surfaces.

4. Define the following Motion Parameters:

• Approach & Retract

• Clearance

• Entry & End Points

• Boundary Settings

• Tolerance & Surf. Offset

• Tool Trajectory

• Stock & Holder Tracking

• Optimizer

• User Parameters

5. Define the Machine Parameters.

6. When finished, you can choose from the following Procedure Options:

• Save & Close to suspend

• Save & Calculate to execute

• Cancel

• Save As
