2.5 Axes - Profile Closed by Plane

Hints and tips for surface profile procedures

How to create this procedure: (see Creating a Procedure and Procedure Guide for general explanation.)

1. For Technology, choose 2.5 Axes as the main selection, and Profile Closed by Plane as the subselection.

2. Choose the appropriate cutter.

3. Define the contours (closed) and plane.

4. Define the following Motion Parameters:

• Approach & Retract

• Clearance

• Entry & End Points

• Boundary Settings

• Tolerance & Surf. Offset

• Tool Trajectory

• Stock & Holder Tracking

• Optimizer

• User Parameters

5. Define the Machine Parameters.

6. When finished, you can choose from the following Procedure Options:

• Save & Close to suspend

• Save & Calculate to execute

• Cancel

• Save As
