Loading a Model

Load one or more models into your currently open NC document. The Cimatron E Explorer is displayed. The model(s) to be loaded must be of one of the following types:

The Part documents can either be:

• a Part document created in Cimatron E

• a Part file of another format (sat, igs, vda) converted into the Cimatron E part format. See Data Interfaces.

Notes:

• Multiple model documents can be individually loaded into an NC document.

• When an Assembly document is loaded into an NC document, it is imported with its original Part document colors and not its Assembly document colors.

To load a part from within NC:

1. Once inside the NC application, there are two ways of loading a model.

Either:

Select NC-Planning / Load Model.

Or:

press the Load Model button (shown below) on the NC Guide.

The Cimatron E Explorer is displayed, from which you can select any Part or Assembly document. The model will be loaded into your NC document, and you can begin the NC Process.

2. Once you have selected the model to load, you must place it within the NC document.

To export a part into NC:

While still in the Part application, with the relevant part document active, select File / Export / To NC. The Cimatron E Explorer is displayed, from which you can assign a title and description for the NC document.
