Switch to CAD Mode

While working in NC you may find that you need to create, modify, or delete geometric entities. This can be done by entering the CAD (Part modeling) environment.

To switch to CAD, press the icon in the NC Toolbar.. You are now in the Part Environment, and you can access Curve, Face, and Solid functions.

Note: All Part functions can also be accessed from within NC. The advantage of working in the Part environment is that you can work more completely. By using the Feature Tree, you can modify previously created geometry, delete entities, and create new geometry.

To return to CAM (NC), press the icon. Any changes you make will be maintained upon return to NC.

Important: Changes you make in the Part environment will only affect the NC document, not the Part document! If you want to make a permanent change, work in the Part document, then update the NC document to load the modified part. See Update Mode.
