Picking Part and Stock Contours

Part contours are used for pocketing procedures, to represent the desired end-result milling limits. They are used in contrast with stock contours.

Stock contours are used for pocketing procedures, to represent the initial milling material. They are used in contrast with part contours.

If stock contours are not defined, all contours are assumed to be part contours.

Some pocketing procedures can machine according to a defined stock. This stock can be defined as a series of contours.

Once in contour selection mode, there are several ways to pick contours. See Picking Contours for details.

Note: Part contours take precedence over stock contours. In other words, if you define a contour as part and later define the same contour as stock, the contour will be considered a part contour.
