The following options are available in the File menu:
New Document: Create a new Cimatron E document.
Open Documents: Open an existing Cimatron E document.
Close: Close the current document.
Close All: Close all open documents.
Save: Save the document.
Save As:
Main Document Only: Save the main drafting document only.
Include Dependent Documents: Save the main docuent along with all dependent elements.
Save as Template: Cimatron E documents can be saved as templates in order to store user-defined parameters such as measurement units, sets, last used parameters, color settings, etc. These templates can then be opened later to save time and effort redefining personalized parameters.
Save All: Save all the part documents open in the current session.
Cimatron E Explorer: Open the Cimatron E Explorer window.
Import: Perform various import operations.
Export: Perform various export operations.
Pack: Transfer a file from your Cimatron E Explorer to another computer.
Unpack: Transfer a document from another computer to your Cimatron E Explorer.
Get from Catalog: Get parts from the MoldDesign catalog using the Cimatron E Explorer.
Plot: Send the document to a plotter.
Print Preview: Preview the printout - view how the printed document will look, before it is printed.
Print: Print the document.
Properties: Displays the properties of the currently open document.
Undo, Redo: Undo or Redo steps in the drafting process.
Select: Implement or clear the Selection Filter for selecting geometry.
Selection Mode: Entity selection depends on how you drag the selection box. Additional options enable you to select all entities within the box, unselect all entities within the box or which select only visible faces.
Quick Filter: Access the Filter for selecting geometry.
Hide, Show: See Hiding and Showing Entities.
This menu contains View manipulation options.
Sketcher: Activates the sketcher for adding 2D geometry to the drawing.
Access other Curve (wireframe) functions for creating part geometry.
Dimensions: Add dimensions to the drawing.
Geometric Tolerance: Add a geometric tolerance to the drawing.
Geometrical Datum :Create a datum reference for a point on the screen or curve.
Datum Target: Add a datum target symbol to the drawing.
Surface Roughness: Add a surface roughness symbol to the drawing.
Weld: Add a Weld symbol to the drawing.
Center: Add a center line to the drawing.
Marking: Apply markings to various circles, arcs or splines to differentiate between them.
Symmetry Line: Add a symmetry line to the drawing.
Section Line: Add a section line to the drawing.
Hatch: Add a hatched surface to the drawing.
Arrow: Add an arrow symbol to the drawing.
ID Number: Add an ID number symbol to the drawing.
Text: (Add a note or label to the drawing).
Insert Picture: Embeds graphic files into a drawing.
Contour: Define a contour.
Automatic ID Number: Automatically display the ID numbers of an assembly view.
Automatic Center: Automatically create a center line through circles, arcs or projected splines of an assembly view.
Automatic Ordinate: Automatically create ordinate dimensions through circles, arcs, points, splines and center lines.
Automatic Coordinate Label: Automatically display coordinate labels.
Create New Sheet: Create a new drawing Sheet.
Template: The following options are available:
Create Sheet from Template: Create a drawing sheet from a Drafting Template.
Save Sheet as Template: Save a drawing sheet as a Drafting Template.
Sheet Standard: Set the sheet standard to ISO, ANSI or a user-defined standard.
View Attributes: Define the line fonts, types, and colors to be used in the sheets.
View Creation: Select and modify the view of a part.
Local Section: Create a local section view of any part view.
Create Group: Create a group of Drafting geometry and symbols.
Place Group: Apply a group to a view.
Delete Master Group: Delete a specific group.
Immediate Sets: Create new sets.
Add Alignment: Add alignment lines to the drafting annotations in the sheet.
Order Symbols: Move or order a group of entities according to selected parameters.
Font Style: Define entity font types.
Update HDL: Regenerate drawing views according to HDL parameters.
NC Externals: NC Externals allows you to execute and post process toolpaths and procedures without having to enter a Cimatron E NC document.
Run Script: Scripts can be run within Cimatron E to perform specific tasks.
Edit Catalog Master: Edit the Catalog Master via the Cimatron E Explorer.
Preferences: Set General Preferences and Drafting Preferences.
Measurement: Measure distances and obtain properties of geometric entities.
Entity Information: Displays geometrical information and detects problematic areas.
