Create a drawing sheet from a Drafting Template. This involves applying a Drafting Template to a model to quickly create a drawing sheet from the model.
From the displayed Drafting Templates dialog, select the required drafting template, as follows:

Click OK
. The Apply
Drafting Templates dialog is displayed.

The Apply Drafting Templates dialog contains the following areas:
The Model M-View Tree area (on the left side of the window), currently empty.
The Template Layout area (on the right side of the window), contains the drafting template layout, as follows:
Model 0 (Unassigned): This is the tree root, indicating the default model name, when no models are assigned. If the template contains more than one model, each additional model will be assigned a sequential number, for example, Model 1, Model 2 and so on.
Views: These are the saved views that exist in the template, displayed as simple views.
From
the Model M-View Tree area, click
Open. The Cimatron E Explorer is displayed.
Select the required model to assign to the template, as follows:
Note: Cimatron E Explorer enables you to perform multiple selections, meaning you can select more than one model to apply to the drafting template. See Example 1 for further details.
Click Select. The Apply Drafting Templates dialog appears, displaying the selected model in the Model M-View Tree area, as follows:

Note: M-Views on the left containing identical names to the views on the right are assigned automatically.

button to add another model or to replace the drafting
template.
After the assignment
has been performed, when selecting the assigned Section M-View, the Switch to 2D
Section / Switch
to 3D
Section
toggle button is enabled. You can then toggle these options to create
a 3D section view or 2D section view, as required. (In this example, the
section M-View will be created in 3D view).
If
the Template
Layout area, contains
one model only, the selected model
on the left will be assigned
automatically to the drafting template on the right
.
The same M-View can be assigned to more than one view in the drafting template.
Each model branch contains the number of views that have been defined in the template.

a model view from the drafting template, select the view and then click
the Unassign
button.
