Hip Roofs

Select Build> Roof> Build Roof

from the menu to open the Build Roof dialog. The initial settings in the Build Roof dialog are as follows:

Pitch is set at 6 in 12

Minimum Alcove is 36

Normal Roof and Gable Roof Overhangs are each 18 inches.

Check Build Roof Planes and click OK to generate a hip roof

Take a Render Full Overview

of the house. You can select 3D> Low Detail Mode

from the menu to turn off the display of textures.

Select Window> Tile Vertically

to see both views at the same time.
