When Auto Rebuild Roofs is checked in Chief Architect, a roof is automatically generated when walls are drawn to form a closed area, and is updated as your model is changed. Auto Rebuild Roofs is turned off by default, and this tutorial continues with this feature disabled, however the information presented here also applies when this feature is enabled.
