When in a render view, click the right mouse button to access the contextual menu. In most views, the contextual menu contains the same tools as the Edit toolbar, but in render views the options are a mix of tool buttons and toggles that allow you to override the settings on the Render panel of the Preferences dialog, or to access special render features.
Refresh Display, Final View, Raytrace, Toggle Sunlight, Toggle Low Detail Mode, and Glass House Mode are all available from the toolbar.
Changing a setting from the menu only affects the current view, it does not affect the settings in the Preferences dialog.
